File Compare

Here you can specify the path to your own 3D model file (for example c:\mymodels\dolphin.wrl) and match it against our database.

         
Note: So far, most people have used the "3D File Compare" for text queries. You should use the Text and/or Sketch interface for that. With the 3D File Compare you can upload your own 3D model file.


Supported file types

  • VRML V2.0 (.wrl)(should not reference other files)
    note: no VRML V1.0 just yet, and no gzipped files
The following formats are partially supported and will usually work if they contain geometry only:
  • PLY (.ply)
  • Wavefront OBJ (.obj)
  • AutoCAD DXF (.dxf)
  • Unigrafix UG (.ug)
  • DEC OFF (.off)
  • Persistence of Vision POV (.pov)
